Some of the best high school jazz musicians in the state learned from the pros through a program run through the Dakota Foundation for Jazz Education. The Dakota Combo, as the students are collectively called, capped the program with a concert at MacPhail Center for Music. 3-Minute Egg was there. You can catch these high schoolers again June 19 in St. Paul’s Mears Park as part of the Twin Cities Jazz Festival.
