It was inevitable that revered playwright and storyteller Kevin Kling would turn his horrific motorcycle accident into cathartic creativity. Kling’s new play, produced through Interact Theater in collaboration with the Twin Cities Gospel Choir and Australia’s Tutti Ensemble, takes inspiration from his own tragedy to spin the tale of a man who looks at the aftermath of his own death. 3-Minute Egg spoke with Kling at a dress rehearsal for Northern Lights/Southern Cross, which previews October 22-23 at the Guthrie’s Dowling Studio, opens October 24 and continues through November 8.
