For 20 years, the Minnesota Center for Book Arts has brought light and warmth to Minnesota winters with the annual Winter Book — a piece of book art merging text with illustration, unique design and other visual elements. Bryan Thao Worra, a Laotian-American who just earned a literature fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, was tabbed as the author for the 2008 book, Winter Ink, which received a warm reception at a launch party inside Open Book. 3-Minute Egg was there.
