About 35 years ago, Karen Herseth Wee and Riki Kölbl Nelson met through their husbands — both St. Olaf College English professors — and soon gathered local women into the Northfield Women Poets. Today, that renamed group, Penchant Poets, is still going strong, with weekly meetings during the academic year and several anthologies to its name. 3-Minute Egg found some of the women in the collective reading from their fourth and latest anthology, Penchant, as part of the monthly Converse in Verse series at Nina’s Coffee Cafe in St. Paul.

I have sent out the 3 minute videoto my friends in the States and to Austria. Yesterday the State Arts Board called me, and on the basis of the video, I was asked to be a judge for an upcoming poetry contest in Rochester, MN. thanks for your good work,
