Comic improvisation has matured well beyond the simple montage. Ensembles are inventing structures and themes to better engage performers and audiences. The latest is a Texas import called Ka-Baam! — a comic book come to life — in the hands of HUGE Theater. Step into opening night at Bryant-Lake Bowl, where you’ll meet audience-suggested superheroes Pomegranate Avenger, Guitar Hero and Purple Prince (for the Purple Guy) and their arch nemesis Zombie Queen. Meet (or suggest) all new heroes and villains 7 pm every Thursday in January.

Got something to say? Go for it!
This got me sooooooooooooooooo excited. I plan to suggest that we create a young teen group at the library. They are obsessed with graphic novels and we can’t keep them on the shelves. However, we can’t get the kids to really connect with library activities once they’ve passed the 4th or 5th grade. This might be just the thing to get them to feel that the Children’s Library is not just for little kids.
