Dance Revolutions, an annual showcase for dance students at the University of Minnesota’s Dance and Theater Department, is such a staple of the program that students, faculty and alum know what you’re talking about when you refer to it by the department’s acronym — UDT. This year’s showcase, February 6-8 in the Proscenium Theater of the Rarig Center, features new work from local choreographer Joanie Smith and a site-specific work from Sardono Kusumo, who winds the dancers through the Rarig’s central staircase. 3-Minute Egg spoke with some of the students and faculty at Wednesday’s dress rehearsal.
