Born several years ago as the Spiritual Fringe — part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival — the renamed and independent Spirit in the House gathers local theater, storytelling and film with underpinnings in spirituality and social justice. The 10-day festival, which opened Friday at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, has a strong Jewish angle, brought largely through Rimon: The Minnesota Jewish Arts Council. 3-Minute Egg sampled some of these offerings.

Thanks for covering the Spirit in the House Festival, Matt.
It has been a wonderful venue for many of us and well worth keeping alive for years and years.
