Melissa Birch and Molly Van Avery have long performance resumes in the Twin Cities, with queer and gender issues at the heart of much of their original work. In a shared evening at Open Eye Figure Theatre, they’re performing in each others’ pieces while staking self-explaratory territory for themselves. During run-throughs Monday night, 3-Minute Egg spoke with Birch and Van Avery and looked into their back-to-back shows. My Never Being Loneliness runs April 16-25.
