Max Sparber first ingratiated himself on the Twin Cities theater community as a critic, but he’s since made impressions as a playwright. His third and latest script for Off-Leash Area — Ivan the Drunk and his Terrible Tale of Woe — was born more through collaboration and observation than a typical playwright’s isolation. 3-Minute Egg talked with Sparber during a run-through rehearsal, leading to the show’s June 4 premiere at Open Eye Figure Theatre.
