Ryan Ingebritsen grew up in Bloomington, Minn., and studied composition at St. Olaf College, but has staked his career for the past decade in Chicago. He returned recently to premiere a piece at the Southern Theater, through the winds of the International Contemporary Ensemble, and he’ll be back this summer in a unique residency through Minnesota state parks. 3-Minute Egg met with Ingebritsen backstage at the Southern and turned its lens to his new work.
