Kenna Sarge and Jason Noer come from different backgrounds, but both fought to earn acceptance locally as contemporary movers. In a shared evening at the Southern Theater, Sarge’s Voice of Culture Dance and Noer’s Battlecats are both calling on their roots — ancestral and street dance — and melding them with modern movements. 3-Minute Egg met the choreographers at Wednesday’s dress rehearsal.
