Mitch Walking Elk is a member of four Native American tribes and a singer-songwriter with five CDs to his credit. He was among featured performers at The Spirit of Our Music Festival, a fundraising kickoff to the First Nations Composer Initiative of the American Composers Forum. 3-Minute Egg captured some of the performance and spoke with Mitch about his musical path.

Mitch is a powerful performer and song writer. I always liken him to the Johnny Cash of Native Americans but then again, I think he stands on his own without labels.
