For 36 years, the MayDay Parade and Festival has symbolized the community spirit and progressive ideals of Minneapolis’ Powderhorn Park neighborhood. In the weeks leading up to Good Vibes Sunday, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre hosts community workshops to create the puppets, scenery and other eye candy that color the festival and underlying storyline. 3-Minute Egg drops into a workshop to meet some the people behind the masks. Workshops are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday through April 29, and the parade is May 2.
