For six years, zAmya Theater has given voice and a stage to people who are or were homeless, casting them alongside more seasoned actors, in original theatrical works peppered with real stories. zAmya, now under the umbrella of St. Stephens Human Services, is touring its newest production to local schools, businesses, churches and traditional theater spaces. 3-Minute Egg caught up with zAmya Monday in a performance at St. Paul’s Central High School.
